Huge thanks to Rob Hynds for running the London Marathon for us!

We are immensely grateful to Rob Hynds, a Research Fellow at University College London, for running the London Marathon for us on Sunday 28th April. Rob has raised more than £2,340 so far to go towards our work, and donations are still coming in.

Rob told us that "Running the London Marathon for UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation was an incredible experience. At the start line you're surrounded by people with amazing stories and wonderful motivations for running. The London Marathon is genuinely unique as a mass participation sports event and this year it topped £1 billion in fundraising since the first marathon in 1981. Standing on the sides in previous years, I'd always enjoyed the race day atmosphere but I'd never appreciated that it is so well supported for the full 26.2 miles. The crowds down the final straight from Monument to Westminster really carry you. I achieved my goal of running a sub-3 hour marathon, so my training really paid off. I'm delighted to have raised so much money for the Foundation's important work. Huge thanks to everyone who supported me."

We are grateful to everybody who chooses to support our work by taking part in events and raising money for us, if you are interested in supporting us in this way please take a look at our events page on our website, and/or contact hannah.persaud@nhs.net for more information.

From all of us at UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation, thank you Rob!
