Past Events

Hundreds of people have donated their time and energy to organising their own events, helping us to organise special occasions, or taking part in one of our challenge events. We are grateful to all of you and here are some of the fantastic events we have had all thanks to you!

  • Four members of staff from local company NP Group showed their support for UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation by taking part in Nightrider on Saturday the 4th of June.

  • Massive thanks to our runners who took part in the British 10k in London on Sunday 10th July.

  • Dan Burridge successfully completed the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April, raising more than £1,500 for the UCH Macmillan Cancer Centre. We would like to say a huge thank you to Dan.

  • A huge congratulations to our Richmond runners who took part in Richmond Running Festival on Sunday 6th September. Whether they ran a 10k or the half marathon, each of our runners has a story to tell and all of them have raised money for our projects across UCLH.

  • A huge thank you to our 12 runners who took part in the British 10k on Sunday 12th July 2015. It sounds like a wonderful day was had by all, thank you for choosing to support UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation.

  • We have are delighted that we have now filled all of our places for the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on Sunday 9th October 2016. A huge thank you to those people who have chosen to run on our behalf, raising much needed funds for our work.

  • A huge thank you to Kirsty and Chris Smith who started raising money for us 18 months ago. They are still running for us and have raised more than £12,000 for so far, an amazing achievement for which we are hugely grateful.

  • We are delighted that all of our places for the Richmond Running Festival on Sunday 6th September 2015 have now been filled. A huge thank you to our runners and we wish them all the very best with their training and fundraising.

  • In November 2013 seven people took part in this challenge of a lifetime and cycled across Kerala, raising more than £13,000 for Lungs for Living.

  • 7 people took part in the British 10k in London on Sunday 13th July 2014, raising vital funds for UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation. A huge thanks goes to those who chose to run for us, your support goes a long way!

  • UCLH staff member Adam Giangreco has been awarded a Guiness World Record for 'the fastest marathon dressed as a human organ'.

  • For seven members of UCLH staff an epic journey began on 14th November 2013, when they flew to India to undertake a challenging charity bike ride.

  • A group of our supporters organised a Charity Auction and Curry Night to raise money for the Lungs for Living fund.

  • It was 30 degrees in London on 14th July 2013, when 20,000 people from all walks of life and all parts of the UK took part in the British 10k, described as the world's greatest road race.

  • Almost four hundred guests attended an event at The Dorchester on Wednesday 25th April to celebrate the opening of the UCH Macmillan Cancer Centre, which opened its doors to its first patients at the beginning of April. The event, organised by a small committee and the staff of the UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation, was a huge success and raised over £100,000 on the night through an auction, a raffle and a series of pledges for equipment for the Cancer Centre, towards the target of £30 million for the Cancer Centre.
