Well done to our runners for completing the Royal Parks Half Marathon!

Well done to our runners for completing the Royal Parks Half Marathon!

Our huge thanks goes to the runners who ran the leafy Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 8th October.

We are very grateful for all of their amazing fundraising, with every penny going to support our projects, improving the experiences of patients.

A fun day was had by all and we caught up with Patrick Ribbles (pictured right) who said "My experience from the day was wonderful - the air was crisp, leaves starting to change colour and there was a positive vibe amongst the runners.  It was great seeing so many people running to raise money for charity.  The parks were beautiful and having so many people cheering us on helped keep up the energy.  I'd definitely recommend this run to others and it was a pleasure to raise money for UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation."

Timea Milovecz (pictured below right) who also raised money for our work said "I chose to support UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation because our three children were born at University College Hospital and I wanted to say thank you for the amazing care we received.  I am glad to have been able to support the amazing work of the Charitable Foundation.  The Royal Parks Half Marathon was my first race and I loved every minute of it (save for the last two miles of pure pain)! An excellently organised event, amazing atmosphere, superb crowd, beautiful scenery and my wonderful children cheering at the finish line.  Couldn't be happier. Can't wait to do it again in 2018."

We are already looking forward to next year's run and will have six places available to anyone who is interested!
